Just bought a new desktop computer yesterday and I am in the process of configuring it. I t is running windows 8 which has a different way of doing things (tiles instead of icons), so I am having to learn the new method. I was looking at putting Stellarium on it, but don't know if it is compatible. If someone can tell me that would be great.

Perfectly compatible, just install it as you normally would & the tile will appear automatically after installation.

works fine for me on windoze 8, however I do use classic shell ( free - google it) makes it look more like win 7 as in no tiles or metro interfaces can even make it look like Xp if you wish
