SW 150PL MODS

Hi all

Has anyone.... done any modifications in any way to the skywatcher 150pl? or the EQ3-2 Mount for better stability?

I'd just like to know what other SW owners have done to make their viewing more pleasurable. (and I'm nosey)

Hi Gary, i've actually put my Eq3-2 onto the tripod of an old heq5 which is loads more stable ( imho ) & i got a set of alt/azi bolts from astro-developements expensive for what they are but well worth it. only problem i've had with them is i'm no longer able to fit the polarscope cover correctly....

I have the same scope on a GEM1 mount and although i havent used it much yet due to the weather it does seem fairly stable, i have heard people saying they dangle a weight from the accessory tray to aid in stability but im not sure how well it works (or if i just made it up lol)

Cant wait to get out with it, its a beast compared to my 114eq!
