  1. Temporarily fixed my tripod so at least i can see something tonight - Jupiter is on the cards!

  2. Just snapped the plastic tray on my tripod gutted!!! - no seeing for me tonight :(

      yeah i have the BST 8mm and its just brilliant looks so clear and crisp, still cant believe it :)

      ive put a cap on my spending now! new scope and eyepiece set has thinned me out for a while, just hope the weather is good enough to use it. good luck! :)

      My phone says we're getting clear skies on Saturday. Was hoping for clear skies tonight for the eclipse though. :-( x

      well i am free sat so hopefully! - i wanted to see the eclipse although its only a small one but wanted to spend some time looking at saturn on 28th if its bad then im going to cry lol

      well its clearish now so fingers crossed it lasts, even just 10 mins on the moon will do :)

      yeah it was a bit difficult to find, between 2 houses and a street light but was amazing even for just 20 mins, very hard to see as its tiny but still amazing!

      Have looked on Stellarium, if I'm still awake after midnight I'll be off out to have a look.

      its pretty high at the moment so worth a look if you have an iphone use the compass or a normal one if you have one and point to 146deg (check with stellarium at exact time) and look for a brightish star that doesnt flicker and thats how i found it, it somehow doesnt look real its weired, good luck :)
