Grimaldi Moon crator using 16" lightbridge

I thought I'd have a go at planetary imaging using my 16" lightbridge and a tracking platform.

I started off practicing on the moon. It took a while to get the speeds right but eventually I managed a few runs, results below.

Sadly the fog rolled in as I went to move onto Saturn so will have to wait to try it on a planet.

DMK + x2 barlow. 3 runs of about 1500 frames, cut to best 70%.

Pretty good for a first run. The focus might be a tad off,but that is always difficult

As Michael says, the focus is a bit off, but still a good image - well done!

Yup. It's a real shame that the focus isn't quite perfect because it looks excellent otherwise.
