IR filter on fusion lens

So after recieving a logitech fusion ive modded it removerd lens and replaced with an adpapter but when ever i use it everything is massively over exposed or extremly bright no detail can be seen is this because the IR filter is not on the logitech? i use my xbox webcam and it works superbly without one, the logitech has right light tech so im thinking will i get a better image from using a IR filter?

when i use the fusion with sharpcap i get a lod of different settings from what i would have with my xbox cam, im not sure which setting to use, ivefiddled with all the settings e.g gain, exposure and brightness and all that but still no difference?

Have you tried un ticking auto and trying low gain and exposure

yep, it just looks very washed out, even at a low exposure and low gain the moon still looks white.

Sharp cap doesn't work on the fusion although I think wxastrocapture looks promising will update if I get any joy
