Is FLOs 'posh' cheshire worth the extra tenner?

Hullo,

As subject really.

I only have a small frac at the mo so this is all a foreign language to me. But I'm about to get a 200mm skyliner and trying to figure what I need for collimation.

FLO have a Cheshire Collimating Eyepiece and a Premium Cheshire Collimating Eyepiece, this suggests there's something inferior about the first!

Any suggestions or explanations gratefully received

I assumed it would be so went for the Premier model. I can't compare it with the standard one but can confirm it is very well made and will last a lifetime.

Yes... It is made in England and is clearly the monkeys nuts.. If they had have sold these when I got mine I would have had this one. Now you mention it I think I'll get one, my black one looks like something from tesco's..

looks a bit beefier and its red, but can't see it doing any better job than the cheaper one.

I bought the Premier version. It looks nice, feels nice, is nice to use and does the job. The cheaper version will do just as good a job at collimating your scope as well.

I have the red one, but pretty sure the cheaper one works just the same.

It does feel nice tho!
