Red sunbed goggles...... would they help ?

Hi all.

I was just wondering if I wore red sunbed goggles in the house while my scope was cooling outside ( yes I know I'll look a pratt ! ) would it help my eyes adjust quicker to seeing in the dark when I went outside ?

I hope not. I already look daft enough without adding yet another item if daft clothing to the ensemble.

The only successful way you are going to become dark adapted, is to switch all lights in the house off about 45 minutes before you go outside, use red torches to find your way about, I am sure your Wife will understand

Or change all the light bulbs to red.... I'm sure the neighbours will understand ....
