Stargazer_00
So I was out observing last night and at one point I stood back to see the view with just my eyes. I was looking really low between roof tops and saw a streaking object like a shooting star would look overhead but basically right at the height of rooftops going left to right looking South going at about a 25 degree shallow angle. Was Not crazy bright like the Russian thing but was as bright as say sirius. It was actually just below sirius in fact in canis major. Unlike Shooting stars it didn't appear to be coming towards from a point in sky but rather across and very very low. Could it have been a meteor? Superdavo
Was it moving fast? If not, it could be a sattelite
JamesF
I saw a couple last night, earlier on. Once quite nice one and one very faint.James
pastiche
I would say it was definitely a meteor, far to quick for a satellite.
Stargazer_00
Yeah And the downward angle was impact for sure. Had a slight tail as well. Was Observing with my brother in law and he saw it too. Glad someone else on here saw it! Awesome. Maybe Follow up debris from the other one?
