Capturing Bubble Nebula NGC7635

Is it possible to capture this DSO using an ED80 on an unguided HEQ5 with a DSLR or is it one I will need to wait until I have a guide camera for, and hence longer exposures?

You can get this easily with your set-up , as long as you have very good polar alignment and can get 2 minute subs .

As shown above it is possible to image with what you have. Good polar alignment, and ISO 1600, you can get 3+minutes unguided on a good night (no wind etc) Just make sure you get a whole load of subs, and do your flats, darks and bias.

I don't think I can at the mo by the time it gets dark it's about two hours until it disappears again. If only we had consecutive clear nights!
