DSLR filter help.

Recommended Posts

The part that connects to the T Ring to the focuser does not have any threads to attach a filter only the 2" extension tube has. I have the standard parts that come with a 200pds

Do i attach the camera to T Ring > T Adapter > Extension tube > Filter and then insert into focuser? I do not have the filter yet, just wanted to know how it attaches.

Sorry for the thread hijack and the silly questions :)

if you have a Canon DSLR then get the Astronomik EOS clip filters, they sit inside the camera just in front of the sensor and are superb, but expensive

I have looked at the clip filters and thats something to look into but i am still stuck on how 2" filters attach when using the camera and T rings ect

I think you can get a 2" filter holder which has a male T thread one side and female the other, and filter slot on the middle.

I am sure i have seen them, i have a 1.25" version
