Mercury images?

Fordos Moon

Recommended Posts

Mercury's angular size is quite small. Between 4"and 14" I beleive. With a ED80 and DSLR is't going to be tiny. The full moon is 1800" and 128 times bigger than Mercury at it's largest.

i have managed an image of Mercury, with a disc of sorts - but that was with a webcam and a 8" scope. (I cannot find the image right now)

it's got to be worth a go with the ED80 and dSLR but mercury is a hard target at the best of times, if you do get a disc it's going to be small.

Cheers
