on reading several of the threads they seem quite informative without going to in depth and tend to be linked to videos for us real thicko's I look forward to being able to point out a few stars and planets and mastering the eq mount on my scope before possibly moving on to some astrophotography. but a little at a time!

by looking through some of the postings on here i have probably already saved myself from going blind!!!

I watched jan's sky at night on the use of solar filters and had a light bulb moment "why not put the filter at the eyepiece end?" and quickly realized the pitfall that would develop if i did this!!!!!!

so without sgl I would /could of hurt myself
