6SE turning upside down- help?

Recommended Posts

As others have mentioned, it shouldn't go upsidedown, it should rotate 180 so the tube stays the right way up. If you have a volt meter, put it on the batteries when it's slewing to make sure it's not dropping below 12.5v (pref). Make sure the power cable is a reasonable thickness, not too thin so you get volt drop in it. These mounts are sensitive to volts, although I was using my SLT last night with the battery at 12v and fairly thin cable, so it's a shot in the dark really.

I used to mount my SLT with the bolt grip at the top and underneath without any problems, I seem to remember you can do a full reset via the handset and then setup from scratch so its probably got that option on your setup as the firmware is very similar.

Given up and contacted supplier FLO, they were brilliant and swapped my mount for another one, no quibbles. Have to say thats excellent service its what happens when things go wrong which is the mark of a good supplier. So fingers crossed this one will work correctly. thanks for all the suggestions and advice much appreciated

Good news Mike - FLO really are one of the best, sure your new mount will be fine and you can finally get to use your scope properly. Do let us know how you get on when it arrives :)

arrived next challenge is to get the skyq app and wifi working! plus test the mount. Having issues with the skyq app . I must have walked under two ladders and kicked a black cat at the same time!
