First light - FSQ85 and Rosette

I feel a bit inadequate following Ollys thread on The Rosette - http://stargazerslou...-collaboration/ - as this was the subject of my first light with a new-to-me FSQ85.

Quite unexpectedly I came upon this scope for sale last week so jumped at the chance and I had its first go this evening. This is a single frame, 20 mins H alpha, straight out of the camera with just with an auto stretch when converted to jpeg. I might be a couple of years getting the amount of signal in the above thread, but it is a start and I am more than happy with the optics; a very good buy!

This is, I think, the first DSO I have posted here, so as always I am looking for any advice,

Very sharp, I think maybe that the background has been clipped too much so the outer nebulosity isn't showing but there's no denying the base quality. Well done..

looking very sharp, i think you could tease more information out with processing

but you have made a great start with a fantastic scope
