Syntrek handset with EQ5

Hi

This is perhaps a stupid question but I'm looking to upgrade my Mount from a skywatcher EQ5 pro to a HEQ5. If I buy the HEQ5 Syntrek I understand that I can use the EQ5 Pro (synscan) handset to make the HEQ5 into a synscan mount BUT, can I then use the Syntrek handset with the EQ5 Mount? For example if I wanted to sell the mount would the Syntrek handset work with the EQ5 pro mount?

I'm not sure. The overall RA gearing is the same on the EQ5 Pro and HEQ5 Pro/Syntrek are the same but the number of microsteps per RA gear revolution are different ( 4505600 vs 9024000 } which may affect the RA sidereal tracking speed .
