Max weight of the EQ3-2 Deluxe?

Dose anyone know what the maximum recommended weight is for the EQ3-2 Deluxe mount?

It might be best to contact FLO, as its not down to just weight other factors to be consider like what you plan to mount on it.

Just found this comment concerning the mount "It will, just about, manage 120mm refractors, 150mm Maks or Newtonians, though the refractor would be the limit you'd want to use".

Thanks - But they only mention Eq3-2. I was wondering if there is a difference in capacity between the standard and the deluxe versions of the mount.

Pretty low, I would go with the 5Kg option.

The standard and deluxe will be the same basic mount an so the same max weight. If the mount were different then they will have had to make significant changes to the head and would most likely have called it 3-3 and added another 20% to the cost.

Even if they used the EQ5 tripod that doesn't alter the head ahd that is the bit that takes the load.
