That looks very good. Interesting that you're using such a high brightness setting. Is there any particular reason for that, or is it just the way it happened?

I had a bad result last week when I discovered that I was using brightness setting of half maximum, so I thought why not push it all the way up.

How odd. I thought that increasing the brightness effectively compressed the dynamic range of the image. Perhaps further experimentation is required.

Are you sure you're not thinking of gain?

Hmmm. Perhaps they both compress the "available" dynamic range in different ways.

That's a lovely image, interestingly I've found that when using sharpcap that I've managed to push the brightness up to maximum then if I needed to push it anymore & I couldn't I'd go into the camera settings & reset everything to default & start again. It's almost like it's not saving the settings properly last time around if that makes any sense.
