Double star exposure times

Hello ive been looking at the double star section and was wondering what exposure times and

imaging equipment has been used to record this data.

I use a compact camera that has a maximum exposure time of 2secs. f2.8

The scope is an 8" F6 Newt.

I use an unmodded Toucam. I normally take about a 20 second avi at 10fps and stack them in Registrax for the final image.

Thanks for the info i have a digital camera and a spc900 webcam

so i will try both and see how i get on.

Ian i wonder what digital camera you have ?

I will try my Nikon coolpix 5400 as it covers upto 30min on bulb setting not that i need that long.

I guess that all you do is focus the star then just hold camera to eyepiece and shoot or do you use

a camera bracket.

For double stars you'll need a bracket as 1/60s will not catch any detail.

My usual camera is a Fujifilm A607.

I do have an S5600 that can do 15s but this will only work with the low power eyepieces.
