DFK21 & IC Capture frame rate problem making me crazy!

Hello all,

I've posted this before but I'm still struggling so I thought I would post again.

The frame rate when capturing using YUY2 and RGB24 is very erratic and keeps slowing down and speeding up and the image in the capture window keeps freezing. Occasionally there will be a night when this won't happen - but set up again another night and it happens straight away. Its driving me crackers now.

Any ideas? It happens on two laptops I'm using. Are there any other codec combinations I could try?

Use Y800/Y800 and debayer in your stacking software. Other things that can slow capture down are a nearly full hard drive, or Norton or similar prog running in the background.

I cured a lot of this when I swapped to an external solid state drive

Have anything else running in the background,windows update,antivirus.

thats the sort of things that I look for when it happens.
