A Couple of Lunar Images From This Week

Thought I would share these. Both taken this week (21st and 23rd) using my 80mm achro frac and 1100D. Both are stacks of roughly 60 frames at around 1/320th second and ISO 100. Both have been cropped and tweaked a little in GIMP.

I am slowly building a collection of these to cover the entire lunar cycle on my Flickr site (link in sig)

Very good. Sharp and detailed. Bit of a bright artifact around the limb. I wonder what caused that?

nice images crisp and clear you also have the contrast bang on thats the kinda image i am striving for ....excellent...by the way did you stack your images in registax or similar software

Could the limb artifact be caused by the achromatic nature of the optics? First image has a hint of false colour around the limb which is why I say this.

chazbear - stacked in Registax 5.1 and just used a nice contrasty crater as the align point.
