CCD Collimation

Recommended Posts

Sweeeeeeeeet, wasn't sure because the general rule of thumb is a high powered eye piece & i dont know how to compare the CCD against an eyepiece. Is it a 20mm equivalant or 9mm etc but if your using a webcam then i reckon i'll be alright.

Cheers Tom

I was advised to use Metaguide not too long ago on a c9.25. I haven't tried it fully in anger yet as the skies haven't been suitable for the fine adjustment. As well as showing the camera image as normal, it has a separate zoomed in area that overlays a red dot showing which way the 'star flare' is pointing so you can see the effect of fine adjustment clearly.
