Just ordered a celestron omni 2x for £35 pound from a well known online retail giant thought that was quite a good price as most shops are around the fifty pound mark

I'd be looking forward to hear how your Omni barlow compare to the stock SW. I don't hear much about the Omni, people often choose one of the Revelation or TAL to upgrade the SW.

The Celestron Omni Barlow has a long standing fine reputation, to pick one up for that price is extremely good

I've tried some of the Omni plossls but not the barlow.

Looking at the Omni barlow it does look remarkably like the Antares Deluxe 2x barlow but with a different colour scheme:
