Lunar tonight

Lunar viewing is very sharp tonight, had a bit of a head to head with my three refractors, im very pleased with the Antares 105 f15 managed 300x magnification with it, but the Tal100 and Vixen 80 f11 custom were right close to it, indeed the Vixen managed 284x mag.

I started at the mare imbrium, very clear at more sensible magnification, Plato very nice, good crater wall detail, moving away from Plato, Copernicus shows some great detail with the interior peaks and clear rays, just of to the side, Stadius is a lovely crater, often overlooked!

I should get back out there, its still very good seeing

Nice to read Jules. Weather not cooperating here at the moment, so firstlight for the F13 is delayed....by snow!! Its actually snowing here!
