Hi,

wondering if anyone can help,I recently purchased a stripped down version of a SW80 ed and I am going to get the reducer to go with it (thats the Skywatcher 0.85x

reducer).I use a canon 450dslr and presently have a 2" nosepeice to which i attach a 2" baader neodynium filter. The question is how do you attach filters such as these when using the reducer

The 2" filter fits the rear threads of the reducer. There is also a dedicated canon adaptor that fits the reducer , but I don't

know how inserting a filter in between the canon adaptor & reducer would affect the 55mm spacing necessary to create the

ideal flat field. I have a dedicated CCD with the same neodynium filter and have spaced accordingly.

cheers

Steve

Thanks Steve thanks Simon.Yes I need a m48 canon adapter to go with the reducer so I think it would affect it by altering the spacing Steve, would probably need the adapter suggested by Simon had a feeling it would involve spending more money lol.
