Paulus17
Well folks i am now the proud owner of an HEQ5 Pro Synscan and a Skywatcher 200PDS.Even though i have had the set up for two weeks now i still haven't had first light with it,but am hoping to put that right tomorrow night??I have made a case for the head to keep it safe when transporting and when not in use,and managed to get the tray in the case as well so its all together and will be easier when setting up,i hope.I also made a little lever to add onto the altitude bolts even though i have the upgrades i can't get the cap back on with the one bolt?? Paulus17
Thanks folks Yes Ant all contributions went to the new set up,but i'm glad you are enjoying the Dob, i do miss it in one way, mainly for its ease of use i think.I am hopefully out tonight to get some advice on the new set up and finally get to have a look through the EP,so will give a first light report on it if all goes to plan??Images are some time off yet i think, but once again i will just have to see how things go. Ganymede12
I would recommend the PH047 Ultra Afocal digital camera support. It can be used with a telescope and a digital camera to take amazing images. I have even taken some moon shots through the dob very successfully! http://www.scopesnskies.com/prod/Astro-Engineering/Ultra/PH047.html
