Losomondy Dovetail - fit a EQ6?

I could be wrong, but I looked at the Astrodevelopments stand at Kelling. They had a Losmondy dovetail there and it seemed far to wide to fit my EQ6.

Can you not get a replacement head for the 6 ?

I think Modern Astronomy and Ambermile do one.

Bern at modern astronomy and Arthur at ambermile do a replacement saddle for the eq6 that will take a losmandy dovetail.

Is that what you mean?

It's worth looking at astrodevelopments.co.uk - they have an m³ mount system that looked pretty versatile to me. There's a basic mounting plate that fits very snugly on an EQ6 then you buy support bars to bolt to that. Not cheap, but looked really well made.

Mike - I have the M3 system as a dual mount, trouble is, I may well need to sell them to fund the purchase!

Daz i just bolted the Losmandy dovetail plate to the skywatcher dovetail.

Its as ridgid as you can get and very secure.....

No need to swap the saddle plate...

Here is another option just to confuse you even more.

William Optics do a plate that looks like its just the job

and will fit the EQ6 as it is with no modifications.
