Thank you for all the very warm welcomes, its good to be on board. So, I must get writing and take more photo's of the observatory. Looks very much like I'm about to buy a Celestron 120mm XLT refractor OTA for photography and travelling, quite long but manageable I think.

Hope to finish the alignment on next clear night. Then its a PERECORDER run to iron out period errors. Once that's done, I should in theory be able to get spot on tracking for photography without a guide camera; this will be something else to write up and share.

Burn the midnight oil!
