Eastern Veil and star field

Eastern Veil, veiled (pardon the pun) in dew.

Stacked in AA5, processed in AA5 and PS.

21 x 1 minute unfiltered exposures at ISO 800 with WO ED80 and Canon 450D (full spectrum mod) on an Neq3 mount, guiding off.

Walked away to make some coffee while the exposures continued only to find 'dew' had crept in while I was away Still I quite like it, it shows off the star colours quite well.

Pretty good for the conditions Better than I did last night! 5 hours of data (twice, as I was running the scope camera and the wide field at the same time) but all that data stacked with all the usual extras, and processed, produced pretty much a wash out!

Nice effort but a pity about the dreaded dew- would have been really good.

I think that is really nice. you must have good skies down there. one minute subs!!

Thanks Fay, Skies are really great here compared to those I've been used to. Here's a wide field shot taken the same night 1¼ min in 15 sec subs at 1250 iso full frame chip with 14mm lens
