i have been looking at these eye pieces and in the option it gives you select focal length 18mm 24mm 30mm whats this for i dont understand so if any 1 could help would be grateful,

also is this the price for 1 or more eps in this selection

Divide the FL of the scope by the FL of the eyepiece to get the magnification

As JohnC says re: your questions. The website you linked to is in the USA so expect to pay import duty if you buy from there. Still might be cheaper than the UK price though.

If your looking for ultra wide angle the meade equivalent from telescope house are better value and with the 10% off bank holiday offers they do - unless you want to ship the explore ones from the usa.
