northcanadian
Hi again all:Thanks SGL members for your kind advice regarding stacking dslr images. I took quite a few shots tonight with my Pentax K20 dslr through the 9.25 sct (with reducer/corrector attached. I took them all in raw (humungous 14.5 megapixel size) adjusting the focus after every 3 or 4.This is single shot...manual...1/350 sec. at 100 ISO. Tweaked a bit in raw...converted to Tiff...had to keep reducing size so R5 would not 'freeze'. Tweaked wavelets a bit then back to Photoshop to adjust levels a bit.Looking forward to stacking a few of tonight's images.....I did try a mosaic the other night with the DBK21, but it sure is a time consuming endeavour. Thanks for lookingCheersRoger30a.tif

bricks1000
Hi Roger, have you tried doing a mosiac with your DSLR, very simple, around 4 shots needed overlapping, then just hit the automate command in photoshop and photomerge. Here is an example of one I took a while ago, literally only takes a few minutes.http://www.flickr.com/photos/80299219@N08/7544718578/in/photostreamGraham
Bizibilder
Well done with that DSLR image. As you have discovered small frame mosaicing is a very time (and temper!) consuming business. I'm sure you will join the "missed a bit" club before long.
