Couple of hours what did I learn

First night with my Skywatcher 200p eq5pro synscan. Bought for later in year but it needed a check....its a new toy. Polar allignment... arh now I get it doh.

Charts and my garden. Okay I get it, Relate the shapes to each other, big W is by the upside down house. Little pan is much high than the big pan.

I did to look alot more before the scope comes out.

So the 200p goes under the bed untill winter.

127 mak goto back out to help me out. Yes I can cheat with the goto but it has helped me out. I can find the double cluster by the big w, over to its right with binos every time now, yerrr.

Best bit of it all I'm having fun and finding my way around.

Oh I did see all three stars at arcturus in bootes. Middle one a bit dim.

Always the best way to go about it,no skill in goto but you will learn roughly where things are.i try to learn a patch of sky then bits next to it each night with either the binoculars or just eyesight.

Someone saying that using a goto is helping them learn where things are in the sky. :grin: :grin:

They will be round to burn you at the stake soon for heresay.
