Exactament, it's good to have a break from the tribe and often enjoy sensible astronomical conversation.

I had a scope comparison between the Vixen 90 and 102 0n the Moon's terminator. The 90 gives plenty of contrast,but fine detail went to the 102.I was using an 11mm Vixen plossl and a 9mm circle T ortho. The Vixen gave the most pleasant view.

What really made the difference was the WO dielectric diagonal......get one!

I was hoping that LeeB would pop up the road with his 70mm Carton , but broken cloud to south ended my session at about 10pm.

The terminator was very fine with rills and surface detail to Shroter's valley and Marius, ace.

The moon is one of my favorite things to look it. Definately when it is setting in the evening like it is now, get the scope up early, take a look and leave the scope set up ready for the night.
