been a while since I,ve been on as it's been cloudy for 4 months

looking at the moon right now ,22.20 I can see a small red dot to the left of the moon

is this Mars ?

was about 1 1/2 " to the left about the ten to postion

Looks like BSC 78 Aqr - Mag 6.2, B-V 1.23, 609 LY, Spectral Type K3III

True, there is another star even closer, also reddish, 73-Lambda Aquarii.

It's specs are : Mag 3.7, 391.5 LY, Spectral Type M2IIIvar.

7 Aqr seperation from Moon was 1 degree, 73-Lambda Aquarii 0.5 degree at time he specified.

Diff to tell unless you were there observing....
