thank you to you all and yes we're we are in the lakes what you can see with your eye is out of this world can't wait to get up there and start looking for some things what do you all think I should look for first

I'm sure some more experienced people will be along with more advice, but I like to try and find the bigger globular star clusters, like M13 in hercules (pretty high in the south-south east for me) or some of the double stars like Albireo in Cygnus. Pretty light polluted where I am so I find it hard to see feinter galxaies or nebulas - you'll have no problems in the lakes ;). Clear skies!
