WOW - that's actually a really really good image. What did you use to capture it? It looks like a while light image, am I right?

As for me, clouded out when I awoke so I went back to bed. I'll try again next time ;)

I used my 1100D, Sigma 70-300 f/4, 2x teleconverter (using 400mm focal length), Baader Safety Solar Film, angle finder, remote shutter release and tripod (I went prepared), taken from aboard the rig Nan Hai Tiao Zhan, South China Sea (as mentioned in the narrative). I was fortunate enough to see both the 2004 and 2012 transits in entirety, although in 2004 all I had was a welders screen and a pair of binoculars with which to project an image.
