help with a mx516 (I,ve had a rethink!)

could anyone tell me if I can get satisfactory results using the starlight express mx516 with an Intes Micro SN86 thats the 8" model F6

I want to know if it will work on DSOs I suppose or would buying S/H be a silly thing to do

I have never really been that impressed with the Mx516 images. Fine details always a bit bit "sqaure" under close scrutiny.

Potentially quite an old camera and there are better ones about now.

How much is it? There may be better suggestions within a budget.

It'll certainly get you started on "the road", but you might be keen to move on before long. The mx716/Mx7c are a step in the right direction. But again, if you are moving up in budget then other newer options open. I had an Mx7c which was great for imaging. Had to work a bit on the camera/pc driver side though.

Just to say I have in fact had a rethink and have decided that for the amount I was going to part with I would be better buying new so have opted for a ATIK16ic thanks to everyone for who got in touch I will let you know how I get on with it and will have many questions to throw out on this Also

I'm just getting to grips with the ATiK16ic. Its a nice camera and easy to get started with - the software it comes with is VERY easy to use
