first mosaic attempt

Hi Folks:

These were 600 of 1000 frames each (tried to tweak...keeping same wavelet levels on each. Prime focus via 9.25sct and dbk21 (using Sharpcap). Tiled the panels using an older version of Photoshop.

Thanks Peter (Cornelius Varley) for suggesting larger frame stack and the EQmosaic software which I intend to try. Have to get my old grey luddite head around some other issues first though...such as the airy disc collimation which I am still trying to do...lol

Wonderful image Roger! Can't see any seams. Well done.

Hi resolution work requires spot on collimation. What equipment are you using? Collimate with the camera in place so that you are aligning to the imaging train you are going to use.A great collimation tool is MetaGuide (http://www.astrogeeks.com/Bliss/MetaGuide/) Also, if you have a red or IR filter, that helps too.

Hope I didn't state the obvious there.
