Had go putting telescope with safety solar filter outside do bit solar viewing with laptop cant see thing on laptop so put it all back away till figure out what to shade shield laptop whilst outside

tested with pizza box on me head and over laptop still cant see thing

what you guys use when outside to shield laptop.

when out in sun.

hard work when telescope all manual

now if i had automatic mount i could just sat nicely indoors in shade.

mite have to use card board box put laptop inside box and cut little viewing maybe

I use a collapsible laundry basket from Ikea with a sheet of black cloth over the top of it and me. The basket keeps the cloth off the laptop and allows me to clearly see the screen and keyboard.

Here's my rather rubbish looking effort, made from the finest Amazon boxing and budget parcel tape. I fully taped the inside as well later to hopefully damp-proof it a bit.

Although it looks rubbish, it really works for me, so big thanks to Steve, whose nicer looking shade in this thread inspired me:
