Hi all,

Just a reminder about our group in case anyone feels like joining.

ScottishAstronomers.com has been set up for a group of amateur astronomers, mostly from the west of Scotland, in order to help organisation of observing nights.

We are not an astronomy club, we have no regular meetings, and there are there no fees for joining. We are just a group of folk interested in observing and standing about in the cold getting eaten by the midges or freezing our bits off :(

We managed several observing nights last winter dispite the awful weather and, with the start of the new season upon us, we're looking forward to getting back out there.

So far we've been using sites at Eaglesham Moor and Loch Doon but would be glad of any other alternatives.

If you are interested in joining then please contact me.

Many thanks,

Paul

Dave: Erm...huh? :(

Hi Paul,

G1ZMO is a licenced amateur radio call-sign.

G1 indicates that the owner is located in England, where if in Scotland it would begin with GM1.

The last three letters (ZMO), would be relevant to the individual licensee.

Hence my question. :)

Dave
