Tried some new eyepieces last night.

Well for the last couple of months while learning I've been using the x-cell ep's that I bought when starting and thought I'd try some others.

I picked up a couple of tv plossls 11mm and 25mm. Last night I used the 25mm and it's fantastic. The stars are pin sharp right up to the edge and contrast is amazing.

I also tried the badder bgo 18mm to see what they're like and although it is a great view,I struggled to keep my eye in the exact place so it was a bit tricky to use.Probably something I'll get used to.

So now I've finally had something to compare the x-cells to my new favourite eyepieces are definately the televue plossls and I'm going to slowly collect them. Well up to 32mm anyway.

Do you have the newer 'XL' versions of the X-Cel's or the originals?

bgos are great in shorter focal lentghs for planets and clusters heps with tracking as well

Yes mate they're the XL versions. Great eyepieces I just had the urge to try some different ones.
