After weeks (before the rain) of wondering firstly how to get Saturn in my scope, how to keep it in view, then why is it a bright white blur though my webcam. I finally had a break & turned off auto exposure:iamwithstupid: resulting in just over 350 frames I could put into registax!

This is the first acceptable planetary image I've produced since I took Venus on my phone without a scope (It seemed so simple at the time!), so I'd like to share it. Obviously, in future I'll use the relevant imaging subforum.

Thanks folks. Obviously I'm well pleased with it, but is there anything simple & relatively cheap I could do to improve this next time? I'm using a £7 CMOS webcam - how much of a better image would I have from one of those Phillips SPC cameras everyone seems to be talking about- In short, is there likely to be a noticeable boost in quality and is it worth the cost?
