Depends very much on the length of the scope. I have used mine with f/9.4 127mm refractor and the physical length of the tube makes it wobble quite a bit. If you mean one of the short tube ST type then it will probably be fine, but not so nice to use with web cam.

I'd not want to go a lot heavier than an ST120, especially for imaging (though it strikes me as an odd idea, imaging with an ST120). I use mine with a 127 Mak which is about half a kilogram lighter and it's fine with that, but obviously the scope is far more compact.
