Wonder when we will get them in the uk.. I would love a eq6 mount with a ground based Hubble but money and time and space dictate otherwise so was thinking of one of these on the new synscan eq3-2. Just to dabble in ap

This 130mm OTA has a dual speed crayford, does anyone know if these can be bought as an upgrade. l would love to fit one to my 130x900mm.

You can buy DS focusers from most suppliers in the UK http://www.firstlightoptics.com/skywatcher-focusers/dual-speed-crayford-1252-inch-focuser-for-skywatcher-explorer.html BUT!!!! you would need an adapter that allows the focuser to fit to the smaller 130P OTA. As most standard 130P's come with cheap plastic R&P focusers there is no need for an adapter plate. You would need to find some where that sells the adapter to suit the upgrade focuser and diameter of the OTA at a reasonable price so that it still remains worth doing the upgrade and this may be easier said than done.

you would also need to cut a bigger hole in the tube to allow for the 2" diameter focuser, the 130m only has a 1 1/2 " hole, no idea about the 130p
