Synscan help

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had written a quick easy guide to doing the synscan GOTO alignment process, im a newbi.

I have goto now on my EQ5 mount with skymax 127 and synscan 3.28 beta.

Any good newbi guides ouit there on the process in step through form ??

Did your goto come with the gps? If so you only need to do the polar align. There's a few helpers on YouTube etc which I found (sorry I can't link you as on my phone). I'm a newbie myself and have yet to have a clear sky in two months since I bought my scope to set it up! But tomorrow's the day!

Does the polar re align function in the beta firmware replace the star align on setup do you know?

You still need to star align. The polar re-alignment feature is there to get a more accurate polar alignment.

The recommended way is to Home the scope, do a three star alignment then ~~ set up ~~ align ~ Polar Re-align and follow the instructions on the handset
