Celestron Ultima LX???????

Just curious really, but are Ultima LX eyepieces any good? They rarely get mentioned on SGL, but looking at their spec they do seem pretty good, and due to their price you would have thought that they would be relatively reasonable. Although price is not always a way to gauge as to whether something is good or not. There will be cetain things out there that are totally overpriced and living off the back of their name rather than if they are actually any good.

Hi Malc, over the last year I've built up almost the full set of Ultima LX EP's, which I use with my CPC 9.25. I can only compare them against their stable mate the Excel LX, I did a direct comparasion between the two over a few weeks and the Ultima was the clear winner.

They seem to be great in longer focal-length 'scopes...yet to get my hands on one to try in a faster 'scope tho.. & price puts me off buying before trying

I hope there pretty good as I have 3 of them. I have yet to get good enough seeing to really give them a workout.
