Need some help with C8 + Fuji S5500

Hi,

Apologies if my question seems a bit stupid but i know more about astronomy than photography.

Can anyone help me with connecting my camera directly to my C8 if it is possible.

I have added some photos to show my equipment.

I will be getting a Cannon soon when i can afford it but for now i would like to try & use what i have.

I have measured the dia with a tape measure but unless im absolute centre i could be a mm out, when the camera it switched on the lens automatically 'zooms' out of the body so i would imagine im going to need the light shroud on then attach it to the scope from that point or do i have other options.

I have a Badder Digiscope mount & it works but i'd like to try using my camera directly through the C8.

Because your camera has a fixed lens you will be limited to afocal imaging (shooting through an eyepiece). Digiscoping adapters such as the Baader or those designed for spotter scopes are your only option.

Thanks Peter looks like ill be buying my Cannon sooner than i thought
