RA Wobble EQ6

I have a slight wobble on my RA axis, Im sure this is not right, how would I fix it?

There will be a very slight wobble but this is inherent to the worm gears and should be of no concern. Synscan software has backlash compensation for this reason. If you feel it is excessive there are three things to check. The bottom bearing the worm end bearing and the worm gear mesh.

i adjusted the tiny black screws with allen keys on mine - careful not to overtighten. Worth following parts of eq6 strip down/rebuild guide

I take it you have synscan so use this to help you decide what is right. Loosen the 4 chrome socket head screws then nip up the top black grub screw while loosening the lower one. If your gears grind (make a chatter noise) then do the reverse until the grind just stops. Make sure you go 360' each time to check there are no high spots then nip up the 4 socket head screws. Getting this just right takes time so make sure you have nothing planned and be patient.

I have the same on mine, I was concerned the first time I noticed it, but it seems ok. I may have to investigate this adjustment as well
