Mystery thumbscrew from Dob

Hello all,

I transported my Skyliner 250PX some distance in the car the other day and when I got there discovered a thumbscrew had become detached from the scope at the focuser end (I'm assuming because I found it in that part of the car). I can't find any holes missing a screw though!

It looks just like the one that holds the finder scope bracket into its shoe (but that one's firmly in place). It's not one of the ones that hold the spider on or one of the primary collimation knobs, as they're all there. I've used the scope for a few hours since then and haven't noticed anything loose or detached.

Any ideas where it ought to go?

Know the problem, we found an odd thumbscrew in a box some weeks ago. Looked everywhere on 10 scopes, only today found it's home on the focuser of a 10" Orion, nice.

N holes, N+1 bolts, all good. N holes, N-1 bolts, catastrophe.

That's enough chanelling Dickens for now I think.
