Good one.

Flats really would help. You have a green glow above the galaxy. A plug-in like Gradient Xterminater would nail that, though you could split the channels and look for the glow on the green. Using the Burn tool set to shadows at about 3% with a large, soft edged brush would probably deal with it.

Equally you could try the freebie on Rogelio Bernal Andreo's Deep Sky Colors site. Hasta la Vista Green is great for losing unwanted greens which are often a pest in colour imaging. Here is yours affter being run through Pixinsight's green noise removing filter. The remaining glow could be dealt with easily by PI's Dynamic Background Extraction.

Moon monkey, you have good reason to be happy there! Colour cast and gradients are a nuisance to everyone, so work on the data - a great deal can be edited away with a few well aimed clicks in a suitable program.

I like the colour in the galaxy - not too easy to get, and the background is actually very good considering you didn't take flats. Flats are pretty much essential and once you chuck them in you'll never go without them!

I am not familiar with your scope, but perhaps there is some coma going on? Fairly tedious to deal with during proessing I'd imagine, so might be something to browse around for!

Thanks for sharing!
