D80 on CPC 1100

Managed a 4 hour play with the CPC 1100 GPS last night, absolutely outstanding scope.

After About 3 hours I decided to try the Nikon D80 I wasn’t expecting very much in the way of detail on anything apart from the moon, so I slewed over to the Ring Neb and set the D80 on Ho3 which I think is equivalent to a iso rating of 3200 and a 20 second exposure and got this one frame.

I must experiment a bit more with the D80 and stack a few,It’s a bit blue and needs tidying up but I was very surprised for a 20 second shot.

Great result for 20 seconds....

Lots of room to play with that set up 8)

Amazing what you can get with just 20 seconds - take some more frames, stack them and then see some real detail emerging!
